this has such a deep peace-giving hum to it.
i would like to wake up here after rowing here, and sleeping out under the stars, the fire still crackling a bit on the coals.
when the coals have that remaining warmth, i love how you can revive the fire for some french toast and sausage, and to cap off this meal, maybe even someone's french press coffee maker...smiles.
the air of the morning is fresh and light and we sit on the shore and read beautiful poetry mixed in with prayers...

Can I join you? you've made it so inviting with the fire, french toast, poetry and prayers! I like how the sun is breaking through the clouds;painting the trees reflections, lighting up the lake, and the world.
May that be true for you today; that your heart and soul be drenched in light, and may you feast on hope and nurture
there is something so aesthetic about the coals you referenced. i hadn't thought about their grey ember and fiercely alive firelight until you wrote about that, and i love the very poignant series you drew from it...includling yummy foods that i would like to eat right NOW!!
