watering the soul

oh i stumbled on this amazing photo of the deschutes..its is so lyrical, so full of joy and wend and weave....i love that i can feel the (icy) cold memory of the water with my toes, floating down on a lazy afternoon, thinking about swimming but enjoying the luxury of thinking about it rather than doing it....seeing birds coast over head, feeling the air hum with warmth and heat and wonderful slowing down....

and then this photo of the willamette river under the sellwood bridge...oh wow- a different feeling - more sparkling and city summer...but all the same, also so joyful, and laden with nostalgic memory from last summer...ahhh.

Yay for delicious fun on the Deschutes! How about some summer fun with the boat on the Willamette and the Columbia this summer. Anybody out there gettin' the itch for water skiing?!

Thanks for watering my soul with your thoughtful poetry and photos.
